ARRIVAL TO THE SIMMERL
St. Leonhard is located on the edge of Salzburg, at an altitude of 448m, at the foot of the mountain “Untersberg”, just a 3-minute walk from the cable car to the top of the Untersberg. Due to the central location between Berchtesgadenerland (about 10km) and the city center of Salzburg, we are easily accessible from all directions. There is a public bus service to the city every 30 minutes.
ARRIVING BY CAR
Coming from Vienna or Munich
Via the A1 (Vienna) or the A8 (Munich) in direction Salzburg. At the junction Salzburg follow the A10 towards Villach, take the exit “Salzburg Süd” to the B160 in the direction of Berchtesgaden – turn left at the third traffic light to St. Leonhard – after the church turn right.
Coming from Villach
Take the A10 in the direction Salzburg to the “Salzburg Süd” exit onto the B160 federal road in the direction of Berchtesgaden – turn left at the third traffic light to St. Leonhard – turn right after the church.
ARRIVING BY TRAIN
Destination “Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (Mainstation)”: From there by bus no. 25 or by taxi (about € 30, -) to St. Leonhard. Next to the church, you will find the SIMMERL.

ARRIVING BY PLANE
The nearest airport “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart” Salzburg is only a few minutes away from St. Leonhard. The best way to take a taxi is via the A10.
